Legolas walks through the gardens after awaking from his short nap. Bored, he heads for the Garden of Statues, on his way back to the palace.
So nice to have a day off.....

Eleryn leads Estella deeper into the garden, showing her everything. It is her favorite one.
As the two are walking and catching up on everything that has happened, Eleryn sees Prince Legolas walking around. She hesitates, then leads her cousin toward him.
"Hello Legolas." she says simply, motioning to her cousin. "Do you remember Estella?"

Legolas bows slightly before he speaks.
"But of course. How could I forget?"

"Hello Sir" Estella Said respectfully then she smiled politely. Estella was still very exicted about getting to be with Eleryn.
"So how are you this fine day?" She asked the prince.

"I am very well this beautiful day, and quite content with a day off from patrolling the border. "
Legolas smiles, uncharacteristically content with this day.
"Tis quite nice..."

"Yes, it is rather nice." Eleryn said, looking around the garden. "I was showing Estella around, she hasn't been to the gardens in quite some time."
It was silent for a moment or two, and the breeze picked up briefly before anyone said anything.
"Would you like us to leave you so that you may enjoy your time off? Or would you care to join us?" she added, looking at Estella to see if she minded.

"I would just as well accompany the both of you, for though a day of rest is nice, one grows restless...that is, if it's not too much trouble."

"No trouble at all." Eleryn said, seeing that her cousin didn't mind. "Three is company they say. Where were you heading? Perhaps we could follow you, since you are the Prince." she added, smirking.

"No m'lady, I must insist that you lead, for I am merely wandering in search of something to do, and now it seems I have found it."

Eleryn looked to her cousin, who motioned for her to lead. "I guess that means we will just go to the next garden and continue until we reach the palace." she said as she began to walk towards the water garden, or rather, the garden with the most streams and little waterfalls.

"And thus we come unto my favorite garden...would either of you mind if we stopped here for a short period of time?"
Legolas smiles in the sunlight that is much more common after the fall of Sauron.

"Of course we can stop." she said, looking around. There was a very small little pond with a stream running out of it. On the other side there was a waterfall, only about four feet tall and barely a trickle. It made a beautiful sound, almost like little bells dancing on the water. She stood in silence, taking in all the beauty.

Legolas smiles but soon sadly remembers what became of the last stream he and eleryn stopped at. He did not return to the palace in time and his father was killed. Although Legolas had been taking over his father's duties, he still has not ascended to the throne due to Mirkwood legalities and such...but perhaps some day...

Eleryn looked over at Legolas, and could tell what he was thinking about. Suddenly sad memories flooded her mind; Calaelen, being demoted, Thranduil dead, her mistake...
She turned away and focused on the waterfall instead, not wanting to remember. That only made her think about it more.

Legolas exhales hard and accepts the memories. Someday, father, I shall take up your throne, take my rightful place..., he thinks.
