Menel kept her hard gaze on Eleryn, "Do as you wish." she replies to her. She didn't think Eleryn would break that soon, but let her leave if that was her will. She decided to add in a little something more, "May the Valar go with you." Wondering if that would change at all how Eleryn felt, wondering if she would end that battle in her mind.

Eleryn stops and turns around. She hesitates for a moment, then speaks quietly.
"Do you really mean that?" she asks, trying to catch a glimpse of Menel's eyes in the dark. Randir neighs quietly, confused as to why Eleryn hasn't mounted yet.

Menel tilted her head slightly, her hood falling back a bit. "Yes." She answered after several minutes of looking at Eleryn. A slight smile crossed her face, though, it wasn't her usual evil grin. She nodded to Eleryn and looked away from her.

Eleryn smiles slightly, and bows. "May the Valar be with you as well." she says, and mounts Randir. "I hope you understand." she adds, and Randir starts down the hill. Eleryn doesn't turn and look back, just stares ahead of her.

Menel's smile immediantly turned into a devious grin once Eleryn rode away. She was now alone again, with Sereg as her only companion, which was how she liked it. But, spending time with the person who exiled her was somewhat fun.
She thought she may have changed Eleryn's mind about her for the better, which is what she planned for having met her that night, though she never thought she would have met up with her.
The rain began to pick up and thunder echoed in the hills. Sereg stood strong, still hoovering above Menel and not even flinching when lightning streaked the sky.

Randir begins to gallop at the bottom of the hill, Eleryn still trying to think. Never trust the enemy is rule number one. she thought to herself. I just need some sleep...
She tried to get the picture of Menel acting like a regular elf out of her mind. "She is the enemy." she said quietly. Randir neighed in reply, and slowed down until he stopped. They were far enough away that it was safe. Eleryn laid down beside a boulder and tried to sleep, Randir standing over her and blocking some of the rain and wind.

Nevias steps out of the shadows menacingly.
"Well if it isn't the mighty Menel. Scaring children. Have you really been reduced to this? Perhaps because my brother has left you?"
His evil eyes shine from under his hood.

Menel tilted her head as she looked up at Nevias when he stepped out from the shadows. The only thing she could see was the cold blue eyes that shone out from under his hood, which was less of what he could see. Her hood came down past her eyes. The rain continued on with the thunder cracking every few minutes.
She studied him from where she was. Sereg's ears flattened when someone else came into the picture. She had heard of Nevias and of some of the work he did, though she did not know him personaly. Saiven never spoke of his younger brother, but there were other ways of finding things out.
Menel chuckled to herself, "Ah, no. It has nothing to do with your brother. But, what's this? The young Nevias out prowling the fields, alluring others? Why..I figured you'd be planning the next attack on Mirkwood...Not going to do much damage in Rohan." She smiled and let her hand fall rest upon Ruin's hilt as she watched Nevias, though not on her usual guard.

Eoden rode swiftly across the foothills. A vast greenland of mountains and plains began to appear in the horizon. "Rohan" he muttered. Eoden stopped his horse calmly and gazed out into the sunset. The sun was slowly setting, and the West would soon fall to darkness, until dawn.
With a loud "Yah!" Eoden kicked his horse and rode down the hill, into the plains. He looked about him, great white mountains circled him on all sides, with small old villages scattered across the fields. He narrowed his eyes to get a better view of the villagers. They looked tired, upset and disgruntled. "I see nothing has changed" he said to himself.
He trotted along slower now, noticing everything near him. He spotted a cluster of elves talking nearby. He decided to take a closer look without interupting. He parked his horse by a tree and hopped off, finding the nearest brush. He huddled behind a plant and watched them talk. Stealth was on of his gifts.

Arawan stood in the forests of Druadan. He needed to see Menel again, for council. Arawan was beginning to become restless, and needed some task to enforce.
Quickly now he wrote a letter with red ink. He tied it to a crow and read it over one more time. The letter read:
Menel,
Do not think you have forgotten about me. I know you still linger and I know you have not put me aside in your thoughts! I grow weary as the days longen. This curse has brought evil to my mind, never leaving it. Come to the Druadan Forest in 4 days. Meet me at the entrance, and come alone. I need counciling.
Arawan
He tied it to the birds neck and let it go. "She better come" he muttered.
(This kinda belongs in Druadan section, but I'm sending a letter to her in Rohan...it would be awkward to carry this RP into the other section.)

Nevias smiles evilly under his hood. He begins to speak but his words seem to resonate with soothing tones, trying to calm Menel and ease her mind.
"Stay your hand m'lady. I have a proposition for you, that is if you're done with your child's play. You have been...less than successful in your attempts to smite Mirkwood. Oh yes Saiven told me everything before he...departed. Back to said proposition, I come seeking an alliance so together we can bring down that pathetic forest and all it's occupants."
He throws back his hood and his eyes seem to shine even brighter in the night, seeming as if they were trying to pierce her soul.

Menel took in the sight of him for a moment and waited yet one more longer before she answered him. She had heard of his skill in persuading others and recognized his attempts to put her mind at ease for what they were; an amatuer trick. Her mind was her own and no one else's. She took a ragged breath and said, "Forgive me for not jumping at the chance to take you up on your offer. I have no desire to join sides with you." She reached up to pat Sereg on his cheek and continued. "I'll be short and to the point. We are after the same goal, true, but to be brutally honest I don't like your style."

((Sheesh, poor Tolly's been sleeping in the fields the whole time )) *Dernwine awoke with the first raindrop that fell, achy and disoriented. How long have I been asleep? she thinks. She sits up and stretches, and pets Baldor (who was by her side the whole time) She looks back up at the hill, where the fire has gone out and she can only see a couple dark shadows (Menel and Sereg) against the sky. *She changes position so she's sitting cross-legged, adjusts her helm, and takes a dark green cloak out of our pack. She throws it over herself and takes an apple out of her pack and starts munching. What a day...hmm. well. this is boring. .... mmm, this apple is sweet. it must be from the shire. hmmm... the shire. i wonder how the master of Buckland is. i wonder if his family's okay. hmmm... family. i wonder how my brother is. and where he is. maybe the Riders have nothing to do and they're finally resting back at Edoras. hmmm, Edoras... wish i could see the Golden Hall again. yeah, maybe i will... *YAWN* later.... like daylight... mm hmm... *YAWN* awww, i've finished my apple. well then. *YAWN* *tosses apple core out onto the grass* ((there's some loverly thoguhts for Menel to entertain herself with. ))

Nevias still smiles, not showing his disdain.
"Very well then. I shall leave you be, and perhaps we shall meet again. Farewell."
With that he pulls his hood over hid head and steps back into the forest, disappearing into the night.

Menel raised her eyebrow with a sinister smile across her lips as she watched Nevias disappear, though she could still feel his presence around. She knew that she would not be rid of him that easily. There was just something more to it.
She strained her elven eyes to see through the darkness to see if he was lurking somewhere, waiting for her to come around. Sure, she would love to overthrow Mirkwood and watch it burn to ashes, she was just giving this guy a hard time. She took in a deep breath and rested back against the rock when a raven flew up and perched on her knee. Around its leg was a note. She took the note off and carefully read it.
When seeing the name written at the bottom she chuckled lightly. She hadn't heard from Arawan for some time and he contacts her out of the blue. A Lothlorien elf helping to overthrow Mirkwood.... She thought to herself.
As she rolled the parchment back up, she waved the bird away and sat silently, thinking things over.
