Menel glanced down over the hill. Surprisingly, Dernwine still sat at the bottom. Through the darkness, she couldn't tell in which direction she was looking, but was pretty sure it was in hers. She crossed her arms over her chest and leaned agaginst Sereg, turning her attention back to the forest.

Eleryn saw him, and Randir stopped. What are the chances of seeing two enemies in one night? she asked herself, beginning to question whether or not she was alright. Randir's ears were still flattened, and he certainly didn't like the stranger. He sounded like he meant no harm, but he was persistent.
I am too tired to try and decipher whether or not I am amongst friend or foe. she thought to herself.
"Where is your camp?" she asked after a pause. She hadn't completely given in, but surely there was no harm in going with the stranger. It couldn't be who she thought it was.

"I have found a cave not far into the forest which I have cleaned and made hospitable. No, not far at all. It is dry and warm there, and I have a fire made already. I would advise that you get out of this rain, m'lady"
Nevias looks her in the eyes, trying to ease her mind into coming with him to his camp, where he would continue to sway her mind to join him.

Eleryn tightened her grip on her long knife and accepted. "I will just follow you." she said. She was the captain of the guard in Mirkwood, if anything happened she could handle it, right?
"Where are you from?" she asked. She decided she didn't like looking at his ice blue eyes, so she looked at the forest in front of her.

Nevias smiles and can not resist and he walks toward the forest, and the cave where there is warmth. "Mirkwood." he says, but he speaks the word with a tiny hint of arrogance, bitterness, and evil all rolled into one. He walks on and they reach the rather large cave soon. "After you m'lady..."

Eleryn detected some bitterness in his answer, which alarmed her.
She dismounted Randir and walked into the cave. There was a nice comfortable fire. She sat down beside it, and immediately began to regret her decision. The chances of this being who she thought it was grew, and she tightened her grip even further on her long knife.

Nevias threw back his hood. He hadn't changed much since that fateful day when a random patrol came across his parent's hideaway....He sat down by the fire, and offered eleryn some lembas. "Are you hungry?"

Not again, it can't be Nevias.. she thought. For a moment she froze, then as kindly as she could declined his offer.
"I already ate." she said simply. I can't do this twice in one night with no sleep.. she thought to herself, holding the long knife and wishing it were her bow.

Menel watched the two disappear further into the forest. She looked up to the skies as the rain began to ease up a bit. In the far distance stars were peeking through. The storm was ending, though it would be a while before the wind blew the remaining storm clouds over.
She went over to the boulder where she had set her saddle. She picked it up and put it back on Sereg. As she tightened the girth Sereg began to nod his head and paw at the ground, eager to head out again. She reached over and grabbed his bridle. She slipped it up over his ears and across his nose. She'd never use a bit on him. She fastened it under his jaw and looked back down the hill.

Nevias puts the lembas back in his bag.
"Suit yourself...Now, tell me, where are you from m'lady?"
Nevias layers his voice once more, using minimal power this time though.

"Please don't play with me anymore. What do you want, Nevias?" she says quietly. It isn't mean, just firm. She is tired and knows the game, and is ready to quit and go home.
How are you going to get out of this one Eleryn? she asks herself, looking over at Nevias. Rule number two is always trust your first instinct. she thinks, angry with herself for coming.

"Ah ha, so your memory has not totally failed you. And as for what you did to my family..." Nevias's gaze hardens and his face turns to a glare, but then it returns to a soft smile. "But I am willing to forgive. Who knows what mess I would be in if I had stayed in Mirkwood...but eleryn..." Now Nevias is using his full power, almost breaking a sweat "But Mirkwood has betrayed you as it betrayed me...even now, your lovely prince is plotting your downfall, leaving Middle Earth and leaving the forest without rule. And he plans on leaving you behind. He doenst care for you at all. What I come to ask of you is an alliance. There are many, MANY more benefits of working with me than staying loyal to those who are not loyal unto you." Nevias starts breaking a sweat, using all his power possible to make his voice a tool, trying to break her mind.

*Tolwyn watches the whole time as el and nevias go away, and menel saddles Sereg. when the rain starts to let up, she twists her hair up again and puts her helm on, and stands up. She puts the blanket away in her pack, takes a quick swig of wine and strolls over to Baldor.
"Ready to go somewhere, my lost prince?" she says, laughing softly at her own little joke. How ironic life is. When she first found out about Baldor, she hoped he wouldn't run away like the prince he was named after. But oh cruel fate, it was herself that ran away...
*Dernwine pets Baldor on the neck and just stands awhile, gazing up at the hill. I wonder if Menel is going to stay here all night...oh well. she simply stands and gazes towards where Menel is..

Eoden crept across the forest at a very fast rate. He reached the outer edge and saw the cave in the distance. So this is where he took her. Eoden's crawl turned to a fast sprint as he loaded an arrow and hid behind a vast group of rocks outside the cave.
Eoden had no proof that this Nevias was evil, but by the tone of his voice when talking to the other elf, Eoden figured that this man may be trouble. Plus, he knew Lady Eleryn from the Necromancer War and thought he should make sure nothing wrong was happening.
He listened from behind the rocks and glared at the elf.

Growing a bit uneasy about the situation, Menel left Sereg to wait on the hill, which he did not care for at all, and crept slowly into the forest, heading in the direction in which Nevias led Eleryn. Being the untrusting kind anyway, she wanted to know what he was up to.
Her steps made no sound whatsoever. She maneuvered her way through the low branches and vines with ease. She finally came to the cave where Nevais was. There was a soft glow coming from the inside, casting dancing shadows on the cave walls. She stepped closer, but something else caught her eye. A dark figure sat lurking in the shadows, looking into the caves.
After several minutes of watching this figure from under her dark hood, Menel picked up a stick and broke it in half, causing a loud snap.
