Arawan steps out from behind a tree a few yards from Menel. He sees it startles her a little and he reaches out his palm. "I did not think that mighty Menel would be scared so easily, " he retorted, "Welcome to Druadan."
Arawan grinned and walked slowly to a tree stump, he sat down heavily and motioned for Menel to join him. "Please, please. Make yourself at home. You may be here awhile."

Arawan sat as the bird flew through the air. When she comes, if she comes, we shall talk.

Idriol stands from the back of the room and nods to both Hildor and Mattheapar to show his respect. "First I'd like to start off saying, my Lord Mattheapar, I am greatly sorry for all the troubles you have found recently, and I want you to know that all of us elves here in Rivendell are willing to give and help you through this time of tragedy. Isilwen, and the others were all dear to our hearts and they shall not leave them." Idriol smiled at Mattheapar and whispered "It'll be alright." He walked to the circle of the gathering and spoke again.
"On the subject of our king," he continued, "Do we really need one? We are at a time of safety and rest, no evil threats us as of now and our army is surely strong enough to defend the people if need be. We have such a wonderful staff of men and women here that through combined efforts, we could go perfect without one ruler. That is, if everyone agrees with me, which is surely unlikely." Idriol spun around the room, looking at each person specifically, gazing at their facial expressions.
"Another option, is, have Mattheapar rule us. I'm sure that is the obvious choice, but he has experience tragedy beyond belief, and I think that sending him off to Valinor to see his family again would be the best possibly thing for our Lord. Of course, he may do as he chooses, but if he does not decide to travel to the Havens, then I nominate Lord Mattheapar as King of Rivendell." Eoden winked at him and walked to the back of the room, sitting down.

Idriol stood steadily atop a Rivendell balcony. He looked down at the terrified faces, oblivious of the dilemma at hand. He arched his eyebrows and left the balcony to the long wood stairway. His slow trot turned to a sprint as his eagerness took over.
He ran to the first elf he saw and asked "What is going on? Why are all in a frenzy?"
"We aren't sure," she mumbled, "but there are rumours stirring that it's the king."
The king? He thought. Mattheapar? But, he had just returned without a scratch. There could not be anything wrong with our beloved king!
He then recalled of the night the two sons left the city. They had two females with them, one looking much like Idriol's king. A look of grief struck him just as Hildor sent out an order to mourn.
Idriol shook his head and said a prayer. The king had been through a lot, and now on top of it, he had lost his family.
Idriol reached ground level and looked for the king. He was just another elf to him, but he wanted to pledge his allegiance, never to leave his side.

The sun rose from atop the treeline and a bright orange glow filled the town of Bree. The rain had stopped and there were many folks of all kinds walking about and chatting. Eoden glanced around calmly for someone he recognized. "I'm going back home to Bree, to see my wife." Draco had told him right after the War had ended. Eoden knew how greatly he missed her, and vice versa.
Eoden walked to the door of the Prancing Pony and peeked inside. He saw men singing and chanting and dancing about on the tables and chairs. Mugs of beer were being tossed about and woman were walking around kissing the men. "Well this is odd," he thought, "Especially for the early morning hours."
Eoden popped his head back out and continued trotting up the streets of Bree and looking at all the passerbys. Time came when Eoden eyed Draco's home in the distance, up the hill, in a cozy spot. Eoden took a deep breah and walked forward. He put one foot on the step and another firmly on the ground. Soon, he clenched a fist and knocked quietly on the wood door.
"Guess who?"

Eoden dipped an arrow in a small fire on the roof of a little building. He let it go and to his surprise, it pierced the Wight and fell him. Eoden smiled and loaded more flaming arrows. He shot three at once, all piercing the face of a wight. He fell back to the middle of the village and continued his method of firing. But there were too many, he couldn't do it alone.
He ran back to the edge of the village now, the great city of Rivendell now high up in the distance. He shot more fire arrows at the wights, killing some.
Eoden closed his eyes and prayed. His village was burning. He had no arrows left, the wights were coming!
With a gasp Eoden awoke in the night.

It was about 100 yards away from the settlement when Eoden realized there would be no army to defend the area. The wights would easily conquer the territory and Eoden would become another captive.
The camp was setup near Rivendell, and elves could surely come to their aid, but they were scarce in these lands now and reinforcements were doubted.
Eoden reached the first building and rammed his back against it taking cover. The wights were far in the distance, but still coming closer. He rallied a few men to bear arms and they stood at the foot of the camp waiting. It was 10 measily men against 30 strong wights.
He thought to himself "This is the first time I've really been able to lead the men." Draco was always a step above him, and for good reason. Eoden felt a brush of warm feelings run throughout him and he was ready. Reinforcements or not, he would protect his village.
The wights soon reached the camp and charged at the men. Eoden charged as well, grabbing for his bow and stringing an arrow. He pulled back and let one go, right for the head of a wight. With a puff of smoke, the arrow went right through his head and into the woods, no harm done,
"Our weapons will not vanquish them!" He cried. "Run off to Rivendell!"

Eoden crept slowly across the muddened lands. A white mist flowed across his eyes and feet, and the blunt smell of wood tickled his now. He felt fear grow across his stomach as he grabbed for his sword.
Eoden was out scouting fertile land for his new clan to live on. He was the bravest one, of course, so he was chosen. He, being his stubborn self, refused to go south, and went North right into the barrowdowns.
Eoden looked around silently. He knew where he had gotten himself too, but he tried to shun it. Soon a loud shriek blew him over and a powerful wind gust in his ear. He got him and looked ahead to a pack of dozens of ghostlike things hovering over the ground. He panted and ran behind a tree, hoping to disguise himself.
That is when he noticed them coming closer. He backed away and started running back to camp. Whatever these things were, they were attacking.
"HELP!" He cried, "We have attack!"

Bobo awoke in the dark from his nap. He was fairly disoriented, as usual after waking up, so he stumbled around his home for many minutes. He rubbed his eyes and eventually walked to the door and stepped out into the cold night.
He breathed in deeply and smiled. Down below in the town he could see lights and people walking about. The Green Dragon was very busy for a weeknight, he decided. It's not busy enough without me!
Bobo stepped down onto the walkway and trotted through town. He smiled at passerbys. He reached the Inn and was greeted by the doorkeeper. He jumped inside and looked around.
There were a few open tables in the back so he decided to sit there. He called for a tall pint and waited for his drink. He was lonely nowadays, with most of his friends either too old drink or too young. He received his drink and took a big gulp, remembering old times with Aurora, and the beautiful dreamy Elf he once talked with at the very table.
A tear rolled down his cheek as he leaned back in his seat and drank more ale.

I know EW comes around torn ocasionally...and I think I saw tolwyn and eleryn around once or twice the last couple of weeks.
Is it possible that we could try to slowly start rping again? We would have to plan when and where, but I think we could do it.

It wouldn't let me start a thread anywhere else so I decided it should go here. Feel free to move it wherever it is appropriate.
I was just reading the Necromancer War roleplay that Menel posted, and realized how fun it was. I also realized how much better I am now than at that time.
This place has not been very active (hell, not active at all) for months. I think that's mostly because we have other things in our lives that have priority over roleplaying.
However, I also think it is because of the forum format. An RP live (in theonering.net) can bring that excitement back again.
Now I know, this will take a lot of planning and such. That is why I'd like to take these two months rounding up the old posse, and then planning a new RP to play live in #war.
In June, when everyone is finishing up school, is when we could start. We'd have more availablity on the computer at that time. Even if it was to meet only once a week, it's better than nothing.
That is why, I will be spending a lot of time in #war, with the mindset that someone will come in and chat with me, about the new RP, or about anything.
Post your ideas on this thread, whether or not you'd take part in the planning and playing of a new live RP at the summer's start.
