Nevias steps out of the shadows menacingly.
"Well if it isn't the mighty Menel. Scaring children. Have you really been reduced to this? Perhaps because my brother has left you?"
His evil eyes shine from under his hood.

(What if Saiven had never fallen under Menel's control...)
Saiven wakes up in a cold sweat and finds himself, not in Mirkwood, as he had been dreaming, but still in the inn in Minas Tirith. He gets up and walks down to the bar and orders a mulled mead. He looked up and found it was day. Instead of going and sightseeing that day, as he had planned, he decides to go out into Pelennor, just to ride about.

Legolas walks back into the throne room, seating himself on the throne of the steward, leaving his father's throne untouched until he ascends. He waits for eleryn and the king to arrive do discuss what matters lie ahead.

Before anyone else can speak, Legolas turns and walks away, not trying to be rude but not wanting to have to explain, or ever hear the explanation for his father's death. He retreats to his quarters and collapses on his bed, staring at the ceiling.

Legolas looks down and hopes eleryn will explain , so as he is not forced to. Mattheapar will just have to talk to him.

"It is quite out of the way, nor as beautiful as the other gardens but yet...it is beautiful in its own way."
Legolas tries to focus on his day off but can't concentrate on anything but his duties to ascend to the throne of Mirkwood...

Legolas began to walk away, leading the party of 3 this time to the next garden, the garden of sunlight, where narrow beams of light pierce the foliage.

"Are we ready to move on?" Legolas says, shaking the memories and thoughts of becoming king.

Legolas exhales hard and accepts the memories. Someday, father, I shall take up your throne, take my rightful place..., he thinks.

Legolas smiles but soon sadly remembers what became of the last stream he and eleryn stopped at. He did not return to the palace in time and his father was killed. Although Legolas had been taking over his father's duties, he still has not ascended to the throne due to Mirkwood legalities and such...but perhaps some day...

"And thus we come unto my favorite garden...would either of you mind if we stopped here for a short period of time?"
Legolas smiles in the sunlight that is much more common after the fall of Sauron.

"No m'lady, I must insist that you lead, for I am merely wandering in search of something to do, and now it seems I have found it."

"I would just as well accompany the both of you, for though a day of rest is nice, one grows restless...that is, if it's not too much trouble."

"I am very well this beautiful day, and quite content with a day off from patrolling the border. "
Legolas smiles, uncharacteristically content with this day.
"Tis quite nice..."

Legolas bows slightly before he speaks.
"But of course. How could I forget?"
