Post by Draco on Dec 8, 2004 21:38:39 GMT -5
Name: Draco Hubristes
Age: 78
Sex: Male
Race: Human(Dunedain)
Country: Bree
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: DARK Green
Appearance: Draco is 6' even. His hair is down to about his neck, his eyes are the darkest shade of green eyes can be, and his face is unshaven and rough looking. He wears a forest green cloak with a black shirt and black pants. He wears black boots and his cloak has a hood, which he almost always wears just to freak people out(commonly used to frighten snooty hobbits). He has a sheeth on his back to carry his sword, Shadowbane. Around his neck is a silver chain with a sapphire on it. It is called the Tear of Luthien. Oh, did I mention he is missing his left arm from the shoulder.
Personality: At first many find him mysterious, rough, and dark. But in truth Draco is generally very laid back and a good guy. Fairly simple man, he does what he feels is right and tends to avoid the more complex matters of life, prefering to stick to the the simpleness of the forest. Still, there is a side to Draco that many luckily never encounter. When Draco feels the other side, something he refers to as "The Shadow", taking control he will become very intraverted and will shun people away.
Skill: Swordsmanship, curative abilities, and a clear head.
Strengths: Despite the fact that he is missing his left arm, he is still a great swordsman. His knowledge of curative herbs is common of most Dunedain, but he also tends to have some magical artifact that he picked up along his travels that he will also be able to use to heal. He is also a linguist and speaks Black Speech, Rohirrim, Dwarvish, a few phrases in Entish(only what a human tongue can manage to say), a lot of elvish, plus a special secret elvish tongue that very few know.
Weakness: Though before he lost his left arm he was a great archer, he is now practically defenseless against ranged assualts.
History: Draco was born in, believe it or not, Mordor, where his family was killed at a very young age once the Dark Lord began to take control of Mordor once again. He was found by a few traveling Rangers and taken North to Bree and the surrounding forests, where he was raised in the ways of the ranger.
After he had grown a few years older he went out on his own to learn as much as he could about Middle Earth. He traveled everywhere and learned everything he could, picking up all sorts of languages, healing methods, and battle strategies. During this time in his life he came across a burning forest full of horses. Almost all of these horses were dead except for one, the horse which he saved, a large Clydesdale whom he named Eden. After a few years of education he returned to Bree, where he was quick to learn of the second War of the Ring. He immediately went to find out how he could help, earning himself great esteem in the battle for Helm's Deep, Minas Tirith, and even the battle at the Black Gate.
During the battle for the Black Gate Draco's times became hard. Draco met a young boy named Theomere, a Rohirrim, who had snuck into the Rohan military to fight. Both of them during the battle stumbled across a large seal and accidently unleashed a great evil. An evil in the form of large wolf like creatures, whom would later be known as Trackers. Theomere and Draco were both possessed by the evil spirit that they had released, but Draco managed to control what he had been possessed by. Unfortunately, he had a rather nasty run in with a Tracker shortly after and now has a very large scar on his back.
A few years after the war Draco found a woman named Nolamere, an elvish lady who was a friend of Theomere, and presented her with Theomere's sword(Phobos) and a letter begging her to come to the Black Gates and not trust Draco. Draco and Nolamere set out on a guest to the black gates, being joined by two hobbits, Bramblerose of the Shire and Rosa of Bree, and two other elves, Fiwen and Findecanoe. After a long quest and much hardship Draco and the crew reached Theomere, who had become an entity of pure evil, completely controlled by the spirit unleashed a few years earlier. Theomere was defeated, but Rosa was nearly killed.
During that trip many things were discovered by Draco or about Draco. The first was that Draco discovered he was in love with Nolamere, and after the quest was completed the two were married and settled down. The second was that Draco, like Theomere, also had a strong entity in him. Draco was also cursed by "The Shadow" but Draco had more control. A third was that Rosa, the small hobbit of Bree, was by some odd twist of fate his younger sister.
After his marriage he left for a few years to find a potential cure for the evil side to him. He did not discover a cure, but he was given the Tear of Luthien. His love for his wife gives the jewel power, allowing him to control The Shadow as long as he is wearing it. He returned to Nolamere and the two lived happily for a few years. Then came the third great war.
During that war many were called to fight the evils of the Necromancer, and Draco was one of the many. Draco ended up playing a large role in the victory over the Necromancer, playing a sort of second in command with the men of Gondor, second only to the king. In the final battle Draco came across the Necromancer and fought him. Along side him were Menel's sister and a captain of Mirkwood. When the Necromancer tried to strike down Menel's sister Draco jumped in the way. This was how he lost his left arm. Still, the Necromancer was defeated, and Draco lived another day. He has now returned home to enjoy the rest of his life in peace and harmony.

Name: Eleryn
Race: Elf (Sindarin)
Sex: Female
Age: 1116
Country: Mirkwood
Weapons: Eleryn has two long knives, a standard Mirkwood's guard bow, and a quiver full of arrows. She aslo carries a dagger in her left boot.
Appearance: Gray blue eyes and long, wavy blonde hair, a typical guard uniform: brown leather boots that come to her calves, forest green leggings, green vest hemmed in silver thread to show her rank, and a belt carrying some rope, a bag with a few healing herbs, and her canteen. Her quiver and long knives are strapped to her back, as is her bow. She is 5'11, a bit shorter than most elves, and has a fair face.
Personality: Eleryn is compassionate, but also very protective. She loves Mirkwood and would do anything to keep it safe. It is obvious that she is a guard when some one first meets her, but she is generally pleasant to be around.
Skill: Archery, wielding her long knives, and her ability to fight.
Strengths: Eleryn is strong in battle and protecting others, and has strength in getting along with others.
Weaknesses: Eleryn is weak in how merciful she can be, and often gives those who don't deserve it a second chance.
History: When Eleryn was much younger, she joined the Mirkwood Guard and trained as hard as she could. Because of skill with the bow and her long knives, she steadily moved up in the ranks, and became friends with the Prince. He made her Captain of the Guard, second in command of the Mirkwood army.
Before she became Captain, she traveled Middle Earth as a messenger and learned about the other races. On the way she found Randir, her silver stallion, and befriended him. She has had him for a long time and cares about him almost as much as she does for Mirkwood.
As the third great war was starting, Eleryn fought Menel in southern Mirkwood and barely won, then rushed to the aid of the others to defeat the Necromancer.
During the third great war she fought alongside Draco and Menel's twin sister to defeat the Necromancer. It was hard to defeat the Necromancer, and while attacking she was knocked unconscious. When she was revived, she was brought back to Mirkwood and lives there now, still Captain of the Guard. She lives peacefully and more quietly now that the war is over.

Post by Tolwyn on Dec 10, 2004 23:02:35 GMT -5
Name: Tolwyn/Dernwine
Age: 15 or older (depending on what year it is)
Sex: Female, disguised as male constantly
Race: Human
Country: Rohan
Hair Color: Golden-brown (but no one ever sees it- see 'Appearance')
Eye Color: greyish-green (changes with emotion- green when happy or reminiscing, grey when angry or during battle)
Appearance: Tolwyn appears to be a stable boy, "Dernwine", tall and lanky and not too muscular. Through her helm can be seen smooth but scarred face. She wears a green tunic and black trousers with a braided leather belt and tall leather boots; a chainmail shirt with a embossed leather breastplate (Eomer's in the movies) over it; sometimes black gloves, vambraces or a dark green cloak with a gold horse-shaped clasp (depending on the location, weather, activities etc.); and ALWAYS, Dernwine wears a helm of the Rohirrim (also Eomer's in the movie) that she never takes off in public. Carries a worn leather pack with all the necessities in it.
Personality: Quiet and introverted, but willing to be a traveling companion to any that ask. Fiercely loyal to Rohan and King Eomer and proud of her country, often wishing to be home. Always willing to defend friends in battle, but never randomly starts fights... there has to be some reason. Will talk, if someone else starts the conversation, usually. Usually obedient and humble towards people in general.
Weapons: A shortsword-like dagger, obviously made by the Rohirrim, with two small diamonds and two emeralds embedded on the cross-guard and running horses engraved on the blade. Three raised rings are on the handle for extra grip. Horsehead-shapes are at the blade-end of the crossguard that fit perfectly with the rim of the plain black sheath. Also carries a standard Rohirric quiver with about 2 dozen grey-feathered arrows, and a bow her brother the Prince made and gave to her, wooden with simbelmyne-flower bloom patterns inlaid in gold at the handle and both ends of it.
Skill: Able to fight with her sword and bow, but prefers swordfighting to range. Being taught by the Prince of Rohan and having taught herself slowly through travelling in the wilderness, she is now nearly every man's (and beast's) equal in battle.
Strengths: Loyalty and swordfighting, also knows basic healing and herblore, and her horse (a Meara but doesn't look like one) Baldor
Weakness: Her secrets from the past and a score of Riders of Rohan scattered around Middle-Earth that are looking for her.
History: Born in Fourth Age 3027 to King Eomer and Queen Lothiriel, rulers of Rohan. Older (by three years) brother Elfwine is heir to the throne. Grew up in the Golden Hall. Happy childhood, but mother (the only one that cared for her) died when she was 10. From then on was kept inside learning all day- Eomer and Elfwine off fighting with Riders of Rohan. Began sneaking out at night when she was 13 to run in the fields and visit Lothiriel's grave. The night before her 14th birthday, Elfwine discovered her outside and began teaching her archery, riding and swordsmanship. She learns fast, and is moderately trained by her 15th birthday. On her 15th birthday, Eomer mentions that a marriage between her and Eldarion the Prince of Gondor would be advantageous and suggests a trip to Minas Tirith. This is the last straw for her. She takes the dagger that was her birthday present and goes to her room, considering suicide. Elfwine finds her just as she is about to kill herself. She tells him she can't live with this, he suggests running away and is about to tell her more but he is called away. She gathers some things and runs away disguised as a Rider. After an 3-day trip to Minas Tirith and an interesting experience involving guards and an innkeeper and the Prince, she returns home in a week to get a better disguise. She scales the wall of the Golden Hall at night and comes in her brother's window. They talk and he tells her how to live and hunt in the wilderness, gathers necessary supplies, and helps her form a different alias. He also gives her the birthday present he made himself: a bow (see 'Weapons') and a quiver full of Rohirric arrows. After a emotional goodbye with her brother, she leaves as the sun is rising, wearing her father's old 3rd Marshal helm and breastplate that he no longer uses as a disguise. She rides north on her Meara, never to be seen again... or will she be seen? ((oooh the suspense))
Items: Her Meara named Baldor, given to her on her 15th birthday, who looks almost like a normal horse except for his intelligent eyes and slightly larger size; a bridle for Baldor; hunting and cooking supplies, apples and bread and water, a blanket, and her aunt Eowyn's dress all in her pack; A necklace her mother gave her the night she died, she wears it under all her clothing, it is a pendant of a running diamond horse on an emerald background (the Rohirric flag for those who don't know) all on a gold chain; A journal and a pencil (also kept in her pack); a pouch of various herbs and strips of cloth for healing; and money and a map of Middle-Earth.

Hair Color: Auburn, a dark reddish-brown
Eye Color: Green like a forest

Then, when she was 12 or so, a kind man named Barliman found her on his doorstep and offered to take her in. She spent the next 18 years growing up in the Prancing Pony, doing dishes and cleaning to earn her keep. Barliman became liek a father to her. When she was 30, he allowed her to be a barmaid and serve the customers of the PP. She had some bad experiences with the travelers there; bad men used their strength against her. One traveler, a kind old man, was nice to her, and gave her a sword and taught her some (very basic) skills. Soon after, She longed for adventure, and when a chance to leave came, she left with an interesting group of travelers: three Elves, another Hobbit named Bramblerose, and a strange man named Draco that she feels a weird connection to. After a long and deadly journey, she finds out Draco is her brother. She nearly dies, but is rushed to Lothlorien just in time. After months of recovery, she settles down to a peaceful life in the Shire, working at the Green Dragon in Bywater. Her brother visits her many years later, his left arm completely gone. But it turns out to be a merry reunion, and she is glad to know Draco is alive.

Post by Menel on Dec 11, 2004 12:41:46 GMT -5
Name: Menel Amarth
Age: 2,467
Sex: Female
Race: Elf
Country: Mirkwood
Hair Color: Straight chestnut hair that only comes to her shoulders.
Eye Color: Green
Appearance: Instead of the fair elven features most elves have, Menel has a worn and weathered face and few scars with most being on her back and arms, but is beautiful nontheless. On the backside of her wrist she has an 'S' shaped scar which she keeps covered with a leather wrap. She wears black boots and pants, a white long sleeved shirt and a black cloak and is about 5'10. She hardly ever wears armor. She carries with her her handmade bow with a quiver of arrows, two long knives that she wears on her back (Yes, like Legolas), and a sword which she named Ruin.
Personality: Menel isn't the one to turn to for a friendly conversation. She keeps to herself and is the shadow in the corner; she's by herself in a crowd, the mysterious one in the bunch, but she has a free and firey spirit.
Skill: Swordsmanship is her best skill. She is good with her bow and arrows and also her long knives. Like most elves, she has keen sight and sharp hearing. Although, her mental skills surpasses many. Being a shadow to the world does has its advantages. She is a master at ambushes.
Strengths: Menel's sword skill, her mind control powers and her quick reflexes to everything. She does very well in manipulating others. Her being a loner.
Weakness: Sometimes judged at first impressions. May become a tad arrogent with she has the upper hand of a battle.
History: Menel was born in Mirkwood, where she was raised by her parents and her older and twin sister, Kementari (Also called Kemen). Kemen taught her how to weild a sword and gain deadly accuracy with a bow. She learned the ways of the forest by going off alone most times, only to be found by Kemen.
One morning she awoke to the sounds of clashing metal and battle cries. She got up immediantly and raced out into the hallway of the building she was in. Thousands of orcs were invading Mirkwood. Unable to fight them off (No weapons on her at the time), she was taken up by them, along with a few other elves, and they were taken back to Mordor.
They were all made slaves. Menel toughened up greatly and learned to go extra long periods of time without food and water, the other elves however, could not withstand the force of the orcs.
Eleven miserable years passed by, when Menel saw a chance as her one and only oppritunity to escape. She took it without a moment's hesitation. The next few days she spent trying to get back to Mirkwood. Once she did, she passed out for three days from pure exhaustion and a broken body. Kemen went off to search for her sister and their parents were slaughtered by the orcs.
After those few days of healing, she would begin to roam the forest once more. But, for being in Mordor for so long, she was misjudged and began to be locked in her room without her knowledge.
When she did learn of what they were doing, she had to sneak out. One night Eleryn, Mirkwood's captain, and a few gaurds found her. They tried to force her to her room, but she refused. After a while of physical fighting, they pinned her down and took her before their king, Thranduil. She was casted as an exile.
With hate consuming her heart, she returned to Mordor, this time to join with them. The Mouth of Sauron gave to her her 'S' shaped scar on the back of her wrist, meaning 'Servant'.
Many times she tried to overthrow Mirkwood, and many times she failed. Then, she met someone. Someone who fell to her powers. His name was Saiven and he became her right hand man. Though, on a raide on Minas Tirith, her broke free of her powers and turned on her. He died that night, though not by her hands.
Many years passed on by. When the Dark Lord fell, she became a mere wanderer, abondoning her evil ways and feeling she had no place on this Middle Earth. But, one fateful day, she was traveling through Fanghorn and made camp. She met a man that night, who with time, became her greatest friend. His name was Sphinx. After spending an akward night together in the depths of Fanghorn, the two traveled together, becoming the closest of friends and overthrowing a powerful king. Although ironic how two silent people became friends.
Months went by when one day, Menel left Sphinx early one morning. She felt her time was done on Middle Earth. But, when she reached the Sea, she realized she wasn't done. She returned to the west and found her way back to Minas Tirith. On the feilds of the Pelennor, she was struck down by Lord Mattheapar. Once she died, she did not plan to return again to Middle Earth (meaning she had died more than once), but was summoned against her will by an extremely powerful Necromancer, Basanistes.
Evil flowed through her veins again as she served under Basanistes, who had also brought back Saiven. But he did not last long. In Umbar was where the final battles took place. She knew that Sphinx fought on the battlefields as well, and instead of fighting alongside of each other, Ruin and Judgement clashed on the battlefield. Sphinx had overthrown her and struck her down on the battlefield. She was left for dead, though she was not. When Basanistes was slain, King's Bane found her and took her to where Sphinx rested. The two spoke for a while and eventually rode off again.

Post by Mattheapar on Dec 15, 2004 17:00:00 GMT -5
(Since this is dedicated to me I might as well join ) Name: Mattheapar Hynduil (Blueleaf) Race: Fanorian Elf Sex: Male Age: 1500 more or less Weapon(s): Longbow and Narthail, the sword that can only destroy evil. Appearance: As with all elves, Mattheapar has no blemish on his face. His pointed ears are not as visible as those of most elves, since his long silky hair covers them for the most part. Mattheapar stands at 6'3, taller than most of the elves he knows. There was once a time when he would smile, but now there is hardly a time when he is able to, so he always has sort of a blank look on his face. His eyes are brown and his hair is black. Personality: Mattheapar used to enjoy company and was very joyful, but since the death of his wife, he has grown more quiet and lonely. He has a hatred for the orcs that cannot be matched, and whenever he meets with one, he will never meet with it again. He does not particularly like humans, believing they are are too dependant of each other. He is quicker to anger than most elves, but would never harm a fellow elf, unless by accident, even if his life depended on it. Skill: Mattheapar is very skillfull with the longbow. His childhood was spent at the archery. He also carries a long sword-like knife named Narthail, and if need be, he can give even the most talented swordsman a fight. He is also an excellent tactician, which is why Lord Elrond had him as his military advisor and later left him in charge of Rivendell. Strengths: His wisdom in battle (usually) , skill with the longbow, and agility. His knowledge of the wild is also a valuable strength. Weakness: His hatred for orcs and sometimes men and his impatience cause his to sometimes make careless decisions. History: Mattheapar was born into the royal family of the realm of Fanorian, which is now forgotten by all but the elves. He was the youngest of three, having on older brother and sister. His father, Lord Melron, had a bright future planned for his youngest son, but it would never be fulfilled. When Mattheapar was only 19 years of age, Fanorian was invaded by orcs from deep beneath Ered Luin. The city was not prepared for an assault, and by the time they saw it coming, it was too late. Melron and Mattheapar's older brother went to meet them head on. He never saw them again, because Mattheapar stayed behind with his sister. As the orcs neared the palace, Mattheapar and his sister escaped through a secret exit into the forest. They watched their beloved city burn to the ground and from this point on, Mattheapar swore to seek revenge on the orcs. His sister and he made for the city of Rivendell, and were welcomed there. It was here that he met Arwen and fell in love with her, although he could never come up with the courage to ask how she felt about him. Nearly a millenium went by without any special occurences, but that would soon change. He was accidentally involved in the murder of an elf, and was exiled with the band of real murderers. They planned to settle and form a new colony. However, he band met an unfortunate fate, as their leader was murdered by one of his own. After that it scattered. Mattheapar stayed by himself and became a wanderer. It was during this time that he learned all about the wild. After many years, he returned to Rivendell to seek pardon from Lord Elrond, only to find that the Lord of Rivendell was busy with more serious matters. The Dark Lord Sauron was making his return. Lord Elrond knew that Mattheapar's services would be greatly needed in the years to come, so he pardoned him and made him his military advisor. Mattheapar hoped that his new job would impress Arwen, but was heart-broken to find that she had a new man in her life, a human, Aragorn. He tried to get her attention back on him, but it was useless. Then, he met Isilwen and his heart changed directions. Unlike Arwen, Isilwen loved him back, and they were married. His marriage with Isilwen coincided with the Council of Elrond. After the fellowship left, Elrond ordered Mattheapar to follow them and make sure that no harm came to the Ringbearer. Reluctant to leave Isilwen, Mattheapar finally left and found that the fellowship had gone into Moria. Not wanting to go through that cursed darkness, Mattheapar went through the Gap of Rohan and arrived at Edoras just days after Theoden and the Rohirrim had left for Helm's Deep. He followed them there too, but once again arrived just after they had left for Isengard. Not wanting to arrive late again, Mattheapar read their next move and rode for Minas Tirith. It was there that he met Gandalf and learned of the coming attack on the city. He also learned that the Ringbearer was no longer with the company. After helping defend the city, he returned to Elrond to deliver the news. But when he reached the city, he was confronted with some news he didn't want to hear. Isilwen and his sister had been sent to Lothlorien to deliver a message, but had not returned. Just then, one of the elves sent with them returned, and said that they had both been killed by orcs on the outskirts of the forest. This was the final straw for Mattheapar. His heart grew cold after that moment and he swore he could never love again. After the War of the Ring, Elrond travelled into the West, and left Mattheapar in charge of Rivendell.

As a special holiday gift to you Matt, I now post the a-hole who tried to kill you. Enjoy! Name: Sphinx(Last name unknown) Race: Gondorian human, a small amount of Numenorian blood in him Sex: Male Age:60 Weapon(s): Sword called "Judgement". The hilt is in the shape of a gavel. The sword glows a haunting pale blue that changes in brightness depending on Sphinx's emotions. Appearance: Sphinx's has fierce blue eyes, aged rough face(though not unhandsome), and fairly cleanshaven, though no so much like an elf would be. His hair is short brown that is always covered by a black hat(sorta like a fidora). He is about 6' 1" tall with a decent physical build, though somewhat thin. He wears a black cloak with no hood, a white shirt, and black pants. His sword is in an old beaten leather hilt that is connected to an old broken down belt. He wears black boots as well. Skill: Swordsman primarily, though he does possess a few skills in healing, though mostly just minor field medic skills. Strengths: Master swordsman and is constantly aware of his surroundings. Due to his lack of trust, he has learned to figure people out pretty well and is rarely suprised. Weakness: His loner attitude primarily. He rarely excepts help and is commonly very rude, thus causing him great troubles in society. History: (Note, this is a little different from the way it was done on tORN due to some inconsistencies which I must remedy.) Sphinx's was born in Gondor to a father who was a knight under Denethor. At age 8 he became a squire and took his first steps to becoming a knight. He was recognized by all very quickly for his exceptionally quick learning when it came to swordmanship. By age 18 he was a young knight of Gondor and was invovled in the defense of Minas Tirith. He stayed behind and never went to the battle of the Black Gate because of an arrow wound he had recieved in the leg. While everyone was gone word reached Gondor that a few men of Harad were taking shelter not far from the White City. Despite the lack of proof and the sloppyness of the report, Sphinx led twenty other men to the supposed Harad encampment. It turned out to be a temporary village for Gondorians whom had lost their homes in the war. Despite Sphinx's knowledge of the villagers innocence he allowed his men to charge and slaughter everyone. Only one survived, a small baby boy that Sphinx found clutching to his dead mother. The mother had a small weaving in her hand that Sphinx keeps carries with him now. When the soldiers got back they lied about what had happened and thus Sphinx was viewed as a hero. Sickened by the praise he got for his atrocities he quickly found the baby a home and left Gondor, vowing never to return until he had found a way to redeem himself for his actions. From this point on Sphinx became completely silent, finding speaking a sickening task that he would only do if necassary. His rude and fierce demeanor was simply a shield to keep people away from him while he daily punished himself for his foolishness. At age 37 Sphinx met a young elvish woman who would change his life forever. Sphinx was wondering through the forest of Fangorn when he came across a traveling elf by the name of Menel. He had attempted to sneak up on her, just to find out if she was safe to be around. When he was discovered he was forced to speak and negotiate. He spent that night with her, where the two fended off a hoard of orc survivors from the War of the Ring. From that day on Menel and Sphinx rode together, traveling all the way to Rhun. Menel and Sphinx arrived in a small nameless town of Rhun where they were captured and thrown into a sick gladiatory battle, where Sphinx, Menel, and a few other unlucky prisoners were forced to fight against orcs, trolls, and wargs. After surviving the creatures and the king's champion, Menel and Sphinx were told the only way to leave was to kill one another. Menel shocked Sphinx when instead of killing him, for at the time he had been crippled, she threw a dagger at the king's head, slaying him and ending his reign. A weak later the king's exiled brother came back and reigned over the town well. Sphinx recieved the only horse he actually cared about then, a grey horse with white spots he called King's Bane. Sphinx grew to be great friends with Menel, which is why he was so crushed the day she left him for reason he never learned. He wondered the northern part of Middle Earth for a few years, back into his normal state of daily punishment and misery. This was when he met the Lord of Rivendell, Mattheapar. Finding out that Matt killed Menel, Sphinx in a rage attacked the elf and was banished from Rivendell. He foolishly returned, though, and was put into the (this is a guess at the name) dead locks, where he was to die a miserable death of starvation. Luckily for him, a foolish soldier let him out in an attempt to fight Sphinx in a fair fight. Sphinx regained his sword and horse and rode away from the Rivendell, never looking back. After a few more years of riding Sphinx was met his friend again, but this time under rather miserable circumstances. Sphinx had to fight Menel, whom followed the Necromancer. Reporting his findings to the Second White Council, Sphinx joined the Necro War and fought hard to keep Mirkwood out of Menel's control. Once Menel was finally chased off Sphinx travelled with Mirkwood down to Umbar, where Sphinx faked killing Menel. He later had his legs crushed by a balrog in that battle and was forced out of combat. However, Sphinx's planning was not done. He ordered King's Bane to ride down to the battlefield and retrieve Menel. From there he forced himself onto his horse(which was no easy task, believe me) and rode off.

Name: Nauriel Celith
Race: Wood Elf
Country: Mirkwood
Sex: Female
Age: 734 (roughly)
Weapons: Sword, throwing daggers, and a long knife
Appearance: Nauriel is pale, and like most elves glows faintly. Her hair is fiery red, long, and wavy, and her eyes are almost silver, but turn grey when she is angry or sad. She wears a tight fitting green dress that gets looser past the waist and comes just above her knees. Underneath she wears brown leggings and boots. Sitting on her hips is her belt, which has her sheathe and sword, a bag full of her throwing daggers, and a smaller bag holding random things. Her sheathe is old and worn, but the sword is bright and sharp, simply named Engrin, meaning 'of iron'
Personality: She has a quick temper, and is very self concious of her red hair, as most elves are not red headed. She is also fairly young for an elf, and is very loyal to her friends.
Skill: Nauriel has deadly accuracy with her throwing daggers, and when she runs out, she can use almost anything that is somewhat sharp. She only uses her sword when she has to, and is fairly good at wielding it.
Strengths: As stated above, her biggest strength is her accuracy at throwing her daggers. She is also very loyal to those she cares about.
Weaknesses: While she is good at fighting, she often doesn't do so well with first impressions, because she becomes clumsy and afraid that people will judge her too harshly. She is also quick to get a temper.
History: When she was born, she was named for her hair color. As she grew older, she got an attitude to match it, but it quickly became milder as she began to train. She wanted to be different, so instead of learning archery, she found someone to teach her how to throw daggers.
She advanced quickly, and once she had mastered it, she decided to learn how to wield a sword, so as not to completely depend on her accuracy. When she was able, she found a horse, a simple sweet mare named Laire, and road off to explore the rest of Middle Earth.
In cities where men lived, she picked fights with any who made a comment, and her skill grew. She was lonely though. It was hard to make friends. She still travels Middle Earth, and always seems to end up in Mirkwood, her home.

Name: Roscheniel Race: Elf Sex: Female Age: however many Elf-years it takes to look about 20 Weapon(s): her quill and paintbrushes (hey, the pen is mightier than the sword.) Appearance: Somewhere about 5'6 in height, plain brown eyes (name means "brown-eyed daughter") and plain brown hair. Not fat, but not just skin and bones either. A bit scrawny and pale. Usually wearing a pair of glasses that usually manage to end up resting on the end of her nose. (meanins, she's constantly pushing them up). Her hair is cut short (about 1/2 an inch past her chin), and she usually wears a brown tunic-y thing over green leggings and a white, baggy long sleeve shirt. She has a belt tied around her waist and plain boots on her feet. Half the time her hair is tied up behind her with a couple of strands Skill: Writing and drawing. These are her greatest skills, but she also dabbles in science. She has read probably every book in Middle-Earth, knows every language and fact, and because of her knowledge of herbs and chemicals she is experimenting with different things at the moment.
Strengths: Her knowledge of language, herbs, history and everything else.
Weakness: Physical stuff; not strong, not too brave either, and no skill with anything.
History: Rosco (as she calls herself) was born and raised in Rivendell. Both her parents (still alive) are both weapon makers; her mom's a fletcher and her dad's a forger of swords. She has an okay relationship with them. She grew up mostly rejected by the other little elflings because of lack of a love for archery, and not wanting long hair. So, being rejected socially, she nurtured her mind. She would spend hours at the library reading. As she grew older she took every lesson she could and would often stay up late in the night reading (this is why she has glasses). She also began writing and painting. When she was old enoguh and done with lessons, she moved out of her parents' little cottage in the woods and to an "apartment" in Rivendell. She began work as a librarian in Rivendell's (Elrond's) HUGE library. When no one is in the library and there's no organizing to do, she will often sit out on the balcony with one of her favorite books and watch different people arrive through the gate. She has a good memory, and recognizes all the Elves in Rivendell. Her sitting and watching the gate from above has entertained her with many sights. She has witnessed in her lifetime the arrival and departure of teh Fellowship, Mattheapar, many groups of travelers (Tracker RP), messengers (el and Nauriel and Menel[?]) and random loners from far away (Tolwyn disguised, yay). She has never been out of Rivendell in her life, and (though she would be very useful on a quest) she has no burning desire to leave and would have to forced or dragged along on a journey.
Occupation: Librarian. Makes a little money on the side selling her paintings and stories.
Personality: Rosco has never been in any dangerous situations (no hurts), or had grand emotions. She's polite to everybody but quiet otherwise. She is usually found at "work", lounging on a chaise, nose stuck in a book. She's a homebody, and not one to go out of her comfort zone. She is an only child. She's never been in love. She's generally quiet and geeky.

Name: Aelinn
Race: Human
Country: Rivendell
Sex: Female
Age: 17
Weapons: Aelinn carries a Glaive, a carved pole with blades on one or both ends. The blades can be taken off and used like long knives, and she has a long knife in her bag, a dagger in her boot.
Appearance: She is 5'7, has long, straight brown hair, and grey-green eyes. She dresses like the elves in Rivendell: Grey-green jacket with a high v-neck collar and open sleeves, dull blue tunic underneath, simple tight, though comfortable, brown pants, and brown boots. She has a belt, but has a messenger bag to hold all of her supplies. She also wears a necklace, a silver chain with a charm on it that shows she is the daughter of a Ranger of the North.
Personality: Aelinn doesn't like to see anyone hurt, and is also not afraid to stand up for what is right. She was brought up like an elf-child, and prefers following the rules to breaking them.
Skill: Her skill is healing, being taught by one of Rivendell's healers.
Strengths: As stated above, Aelinn is a healer. She can also wield her glaive very well. She always does what is right, not what is easy.
Weaknesses: She hates to see anyone hurt, and always wants to fix it. She also waits till the last minute before fighting, hating to inflict pain on others.
History: Aelinn was born in Rivendell, and lived there with her father. Her mother died after she was born, so she never knew her. Her father always said that she looked just like her, beautiful. "You should have been an elf." is what he would always say.
He was a Ranger of the North, and thus had to leave for long periods of time. He left her in the care of Mattheapar's sister, whom she called Amawen (means Mother Lady). Amawen taught her elvish and common, and taught her how to heal. Her father would return for her birthday, in autumn, and teach her how to defend herself, and would bring her gifts. She recieved the glaive when she was only 10, and when she was 12 recieved a proud stallion named Earo.
Earo and Aelinn were fast friends. The horse was a beautiful chestnut with a cream mane, tail, and feet. He was huge. After awhile, Aelinn noticed that something was wrong. She found that Earo was nearly blind. She taught him to trust in his hearing and smell, and to trust her voice over everything.
When Ada, (her father) came back, he offered to get her another horse, but saw that the two needed each other. He found her someone to train her, and again left.
When she turned 16, she wanted to leave with Ada and become a Ranger. He refused, saying it was too dangerous. When he left, she was angry, but he didn't come home when she turned 17...
She decided to go and look for him, and though she does, she always returns to Rivendell, her home.

As you know, (well you probably forgot ) Baranor is dead. I shall post about Eoden. Name: Eoden Race: Dunedain, Second hand man to Draco Sex: Male Age: 71 Weapons: Sword, bow Appearance: About 5'11''. He is fairly muscular, especially int he arms. He has something like a 5 o clock shadow...a scruffy chin and long sidebruns. He has long wavy brown hair cut down to his shoulders. He has dark brown eyes. He wears a long black cloak with green armour underneath. On the cloack is the symbol of his clan. Skills: Accuracy, Power, Stout heart but troubled mind Personality: Very kind to those he knows, but stubborn and harsh to some strangers. He is very open minded but memories of his childhood linger in his head. If he is smiling, it is probably fake, he hasn't truly smiled since meeting his fiance. When he's in battle, he's the meanest guy you will ever meet. He shows no mercy. Strengths: His bow. He "Has the gift of the elves" his father once said. He was a better shooter than most elves he'd seen. He uses the bow with such great accuracy and power, none who walk before it live on. He is not too handy with a sword, although he uses it in times of great peril. He is very stealthy and can get around anywhere unseen. He and Draco make a magnificent team. Weakness: Hand to hand combat. If it is with a strong uruk, he may lose. He also lets his stubborness get in the way of reality once in awhile. History: I'll try and keep this short. Eoden was born into a large Dunedain family in Arnor. His mother had since passed, and he was raised by his father, and siblings. He was the youngest, and was always pushed around, but also cared for. One day his village was raided by Angmar and his men. His father, and all but one sibling were killed. He and his sister fled to Rivendell where Elrond and his elves healed his clan. Life went on and Eoden trained to avenge his family's death. He traveled around the Northern lands of Middle Earth, gaining experience in peril. That is where he came across Draco, a long lost surviving member of his clan, who was born in Mordor. the two became friends that day. Eoden continued traveling far and wide when he was called upon to fight for his village, well, for all of Middle Earth. He had combat experience, but it was nothing like this. While traveling to Rohan, he met an amazing woman (QofM played her...forgot the name ) and they soon became soulmates. They never left eachother in battle. After the war was over, they wed. Everyone attended, and they lived HAPPILY EVERY AFTER in Arnor. Until the next time....
