Eru, what was I thinking? she thinks to herself, recalling the decisions she made. She smiles at Estella, who looks happy, obviously enjoying the garden. She is happy that her cousin doesn't know about those decisions she made, but feels guilty because she hasn't told her.

Eleryn looked over at Legolas, and could tell what he was thinking about. Suddenly sad memories flooded her mind; Calaelen, being demoted, Thranduil dead, her mistake...
She turned away and focused on the waterfall instead, not wanting to remember. That only made her think about it more.

"Of course we can stop." she said, looking around. There was a very small little pond with a stream running out of it. On the other side there was a waterfall, only about four feet tall and barely a trickle. It made a beautiful sound, almost like little bells dancing on the water. She stood in silence, taking in all the beauty.

Eleryn looked to her cousin, who motioned for her to lead. "I guess that means we will just go to the next garden and continue until we reach the palace." she said as she began to walk towards the water garden, or rather, the garden with the most streams and little waterfalls.

"No trouble at all." Eleryn said, seeing that her cousin didn't mind. "Three is company they say. Where were you heading? Perhaps we could follow you, since you are the Prince." she added, smirking.

"Yes, it is rather nice." Eleryn said, looking around the garden. "I was showing Estella around, she hasn't been to the gardens in quite some time."
It was silent for a moment or two, and the breeze picked up briefly before anyone said anything.
"Would you like us to leave you so that you may enjoy your time off? Or would you care to join us?" she added, looking at Estella to see if she minded.

Eleryn leads Estella deeper into the garden, showing her everything. It is her favorite one.
As the two are walking and catching up on everything that has happened, Eleryn sees Prince Legolas walking around. She hesitates, then leads her cousin toward him.
"Hello Legolas." she says simply, motioning to her cousin. "Do you remember Estella?"

"I have been very busy, loads of things to do when you are captain. I have been thinking of taking a break soon, going and visiting old friends and things." she said as they entered one of the gardens.
"Well, here we are." she said, and looked at her cousin. The particular garden they were in was one that changed often. At the moment, there was a stream running through, and random statues placed in stray beams of sunlight. There were statues of Turin, Tinuviel, Niniel, even one of Arwen. It was very peaceful, and made you feel like you had walked into another time.
Eleryn dismounted and walked to the statue of Tinuviel. "This is the most recent. The old one finally crumbled." she said quietly, and walked deeper into the garden.

Eleryn turned Randir and the two headed towards the palace. She went at a slow pace, enjoying the day and the peacefullness.
"So how have you been Estella?" she asked.

"It hasn't changed much." she said, laughing. "But the gardens are pretty this time of year, and the guard does well to keep the spiders away." she said grinning. The first job you get when you enter the guard is to keep the spiders away from the palace and garden, and she remembered that boring duty.
"Then let's go. Is your horse near?" she asked. "If not you can ride with me." she said, mounting Randir again.
She looked toward the palace, wondering what they would do when they arrived. Perhaps we will see the Prince.. she thought to herself. Of course, spending time with Estella was the primary goal for the day.

Eleryn dismounted quickly and ran to her cousin, and practically picked her up as she hugged her.
"It has been awhile hasn't it?" she asked, smiling. She turned to her horse and didn't wait for an answer. "You remember Estella, don't you Randir?" In reply, the stallion neighed and looked over at the elf, and neighed again. "Of course you do, you don't forget anything." she said happily, and turned back to her cousin.
"I have the day off, and as I can see you are doing nothing but waiting for the spiders to find you. What do you want to do? Want to head to the palace and see if there is anything to do over there?" she asked excitedly, glad for the change.

Eleryn was just finishing guard duty, staying late into the morning as she usually did. She had nothing else to do, until she remembered that she hadn't talked to her cousin in quite some time, and she probably should.
It has been a long while... she thought to herself. I've been so busy lately, I should talk to her. With that, she climbed down from her post and found Randir nearby, grazing. She took off her cloak and folded it, then walked to Randir and put it across his back, then mounted and rode away to find Estella.
It was nice and warm on the path, and the spiders were hiding in darker corners of the forest, so she had no trouble along the way. She stopped when she was closer to the palace, then started again, this time much slower, taking her time to look through the trees and ask elves she passed if they had seen Estella.

Eleryn looks at Legolas, nods, then stands and walks into the circle. They had discussed Mirkwood's decision in the matter on the way to Rivendell.
"Mattheapar, and all others here in Rivendell, we are sorry for your loss. We know what it is like to lose a ruler, and you have our sympathies." she started, looking around at everyone, stopping to look at Mattheapar and the young lady standing beside him.
"As for the matter we have come to discuss, Mirkwood is behind Mattheapar. We also nominate Mattheapar as King, but we would like to suggest a time for mourning to allow Rivendell, and especially Mattheapar, to heal itself."
With that, Eleryn walked back and took her seat again.

Aelinn doesn't pay attention to anything being said. She is hardly able to keep tears back, after learning that Amawen is dead.
She looks at Mattheapar, sitting in the chair. She walks towards him and puts her hand on his shoulder, and instead of it making her cry once again, it gives her strength. Since she is not an elf she stays silent, but hopes that in some small way she can help ease Mattheapar's sorrow by allowing him to know that she is there beside him, and hopefully, that he knows not everything is gone.
He looks so sad, we have had so little time to grieve and already the elves want to move on. She thinks to herself as she looks down at him. His grave face nearly makes her break down again, but she stays strong. If I stay strong, perhaps it will help.

Aelinn woke up in her room and stretched. Amawen was supposed to be home soon. She got up and put on her favorite oufit, a nice grey-green dress that brought out her eyes. In it she looked almost like a short elf. She walked to the balcony and looked around. There weren't many elves out. How strange... she thought to herself. She walked back into her room, finished putting braids in her hair and washed her face. She decided to see if Mattheapar had come home yet.
Silently she went down the stairs. If he was home, he would be somewhere around the library. If he is here, I can sneak up on him.. she thought eagerly. She passed a few elves, and noticed how sad they looked. Something isn't right. she thought, and asked one of the elves if Mattheapar was home yet. The elf gravely nodded, but said nothing else.
Confused, she made her way to the library, seeing more and more sad elves. What in Middle Earth is wrong? she thought as she walked. Soon she walked into the library, and after a few moments she spotted him. Was he crying? Suddenly fear gripped her, and she ran to him.
"Mattheapar, is Amawen alright? What has happened?" she asked, looking scared and confused. She dreaded what his answer would be.
